90 Days To Go!

Yep, I've reached the 90 days to go according to the wheel... Today was a busy day... We had a huge non-meat breakfast that included waffles, french toast and omelets with cheese... Peanut had ST while my husband went and picked up his paycheck and run some errands... When he returned I went out to drop off my first of the month paperwork... Now I won't have to run out next week to do this... It is good to have it done! We took a nap while my husband went out again to buy things needed for the household and start shopping for our middle son's birthday... He went to the PO to mail packages and bills, $1 store, eBay shopping, by the time he made it to the library they were closed... Stupid library closes early on Friday's and opens late... I still don't understand why they do this! So, he headed to Target, TRU and Grocery Store... Filled up the van tank with gas... He came home and we had a seafood feast... We had Popcorn Shrimp (fried), Walleye (baked), Fish Sticks (baked), Shrimp (sauteed), Seasoned Sprial Fries (Fried), Green Beans (boiled), and Hush Puppies (fried)... We also made a cheese french bread pizza... Yummy!!! I knitted another basket last night... I can't believe how fast they knit up... Here they are...
Peanut's Basket:
Monkey's Basket:
I will be working on a 3rd basket today for my oldest... He requested an all yellow basket... So, I'm making him one... I'm tired and headed to bed...

Twenty-Seven Week Thursday

We are down to the finally weeks... Soon my newest blessing will be here and wanting to meet all my readers... Today was a quiet day... I didn't have any where to go and no one scheduled to visit till later this afternoon... I took the time to relax at home... We finished some forms up today so we can mail them tomorrow... I made a few phone calls... All it in all a good day to rest... I started knitting an Easter Basket for Peanut... If all goes well I will be making more in a variety of sizes... I will share the finished project when I complete it... They had an awesome news story on tonight about the benefits of breastfeeding in preemies... I was very happy to see this... They featured my hospital that I deliver at NCIU... I'm going to sign off and do some knitting before heading off to bed... Tomorrow is going to be super busy!

UPDATE!!!!

I finally went back and updated all my posts... ENJOY!

Worn Out Wednesday

Despite the fact I had a pretty good nap I'm still very tired... Today I stayed home and didn't go any where... I made hamburgers and gravy... I also updated my register... I paid my last bill using refund... So, I'm back to my usual monthly spending... OT called and said he would be at the Captiol today for a meeting so no OT this afternoon... I was thinking good nap early... LOL!!! Peanut had ST today and is doing very well... She made it through all her mouth stretches today... I ran to a friends to drop off a piece of the quilt I had forgotten yesterday... It was on my design wall... Opps... I also stopped at the PO to mail an envelope... I caught up a bit on TV and updated my blog... My husband I worked on a 10 page application for our oldest... I was going to make cookies but realized we didn't have enough butter... So, those will have to wait...

Too Much Tuesday/Round Robin UPDATE

Today was a long and tiring day with no nap to catch up on a few zzzz's... I was super early to take my oldest to an appointment... Happy news when I arrived home... The people had come and fixed our frig door... Yippee!!! I was out again running errands... I mailed the last of my packages and a few envelopes... I stopped by quilting and dropped off the quilt I've been working on so someone else can pick up where I left off and work on it... It is from the quilt teacher at the Cathedral... I also finished my round robin this morning... What do you all think? Awesome! Right? The photos do not do justice to the beauty of these quilts...
Here is my center with Ruth's 1st Round... She turned my block on point...
Here is Ruth's center with my 1st Round... I used my fabric type of fabric... Paisley! My oldest had his conference today... They have seen the same positive changes we had seen since the medicine addition... So, that is exciting... It was great to hear such a positive report... He is happier, calmer and self motivated to earn different activities back and is willing to work on issues so he can enter the mainstream classroom again... How very awesome... I registered Monkey for K... I also signed him up for Safety Town... It is a 2 week summer program that focuses on Safety with visits from the Police, Fire Station, Ambulance, etc... I'm sure he is going to love it! I'm very excited for him... I was the last day for our Tuesday Respite Worker... She is starting a new job... So, we are losing yet another person... I hope we have so new people soon... We are supposed to have 40 hours a month of respite... After our Tuesday gal leaves who was the best! We will be down to 20 actually being staffed... Very frustrating! As a fun way to spend the rest of our evening we took the children to a second hand store to pick up toys with Valentine's Day money...

Here is what they picked out:I also found two after baby skirts... I just realize nursing in a jumper with no snaps, buttons or other openings would prove impossible! So, I'm stocking up on bottoms... I have a ton of cute nursing tops... So, my jumpers will go in storage till we wean... They make great maternity wear though... Sooo comfy... I was looking at the more closely when I came home... One is Liz Claiborne and the other Talbot... The only reason I've even heard of Talbot is because their store is next to the food court at the mall... I've never been in there... I bought both skirts for $10... LOL!!! I can't imagine what they are full price... They look new! Why anyone would buy them from a retail store is mind boggling... I truly agree with the Duggars saying... Buy Used and Save the Difference... I can't believe I ever bought stuff from a retail store... I wasted soo much money... Especially considering the resale value after you buy it! I was completely shocked at the garage sale... Things I wore maybe 2-3 times and I was lucky to get more then $1 and I paid $20-30... INSANE!!! Never again... The psych made another visit to gather info for her behavior plan...

Just Another Monday

I just realized I hadn't blogged yet today... I stopped at the Pre-K building to find out the hours for fall... I think I will be able to work out a pretty easy driving schedule... I ran to the store for milk, juice and cheese because I was too tired yesterday to go out after we finished our errands... I also stopped at the bank... My oldest had ST... He did wonderful... We have seen a huge turn around since starting his newest medicine... We to find out when our door would be fixed on the frig... I guess eventually they will come back... I signed William up for a program to start in once he turns 5... Despite a nap I'm exhausted... I can tell I'm heading into the 3rd Trimester...

Staying On The Run Saturday

Today was a very busy day... We stopped downtown to fill a new RX for our oldest... It is supposed to help with aggression and destruction... I also ran to the PO to mail a huge bag full of packages... I went to Walmart to pick up a quick lunch and exchanged Peanuts mud/rain boot... We stopped at Walmart pick up a ton of things for the household... We went to the South Library to find Videos for the week... We went to Best Buy to pick up a new mouse and look at car stereos for my husband's car... We worked around the house and caught up on laundry...

Frig Friday!

Our new refrigerator that took us weeks to find was delivered today... Isn't it awesome: The door is backwards and the delivery people claimed (we don't have that tool on our truck)... Grrrr... So, someone is 'supposed' to be back on Monday to fix that... They also said oh we are going to deliver it first thing in the morning we will call you between 7-8 to give you the exact time... They call and now 'we have no driver for the morning' so it will be lunch... At least it is here and it is full of our food and we didn't lose anything... Our old fridge was a nightmare to get out... They had to bring it in the front door because it wouldn't fit out the back... They must have replaced the counter top near the entrance to the kitchen because it scraped it to death (thank God the new one managed to have a tiny bit of breathing room)... Next they made it to the front door well it won't go out the front without taking off the interior door and the part of the screen door (hinges)... So, they did that and then they had to squeeze around the stair case... It did finally make it outside and into our garage... We are debating if we are going to see it as an 'extra' fridge to keep your sodas cold in your garage or keep it ourselves and use it as 'our' extra fridge...

Other things that happened today... Peanut had ST... We met with my oldest psychiatrist and we are going to try a new med and things seem to be moving in the right direction to get the help we need... Just a matter of paper working being moved around and things starting up... We go back in a week to see how the new med is helping or not helping... We are then going to meet often till everything settles down... We used to meet every 3-6 months because I'd go and say everything is great, don't change a thing, can I have a slip for the pharmacy for refills... Then disappear again for another 3-6 months... His special education teacher and developmental disabilities case manager for the region were there so I think we made a lot of progress... ::smile::

I have a TON of eBay packages to ready for my mailing tomorrow so I'm going to sign off... Talk to you all tomorrow... Have a great Friday evening...
PS: Today I made baked Alaskan Pollack... DELICIOUS!

Talent Thursday

Today some of my talents worked good for me... I'm having an awesome week on eBay... I met with my doula and I told her all about my many talents of cooking, baking, quilting, knitting... We had a really great afternoon and the time went by way tooo fast... I cleaned out the freezer and put the stuff in our big freezer in the garage... I also cleaned out the 'old' stuff in the fridge like Steak Sauce and things of that sort... Tomorrow will be yet another busy day and then it will be the weekend... Woo hoo!!! It was a warmer day and we are on a warming trend... All the children went out to play so I'm going to end with a few pictures of them throwing snow at each other and at me... ::grin::

100 Days

Yes, only 100 days or less till I welcome my newest little blessing to our family... Today was better then yesterday... Not quite so emotional... We had a visitor... My friends 14 month old... He was here from noon till almost 7... So, funny because my friend has the hardest time putting him down for naps... He fell asleep right on schedule with our napping time... So, we all had a nice nap... I had to move everyone around so he could have the crib... That was the safest place for him to nap... Since he isn't mine I wasn't going to co-sleep with him... Peanut had ST and we talked about things that happened yesterday... My oldest had OT for the first time in a while... He was quite wild but calmed down eventually... We talked about all that is happening here and the current services we are trying to set up... Other then managing 4 children well expecting one I didn't do much today... I ripped out a few stitches on my opps... I have two more pieces to work on and then I can re-sew... I will probably do some knitting once I sign off of here... Haven't picked that up today... It will be a good way to unwind this evening...

Sick Saturday AGAIN!!!

Well, it appears I have another cold... ::sigh:: I don't know what it is... I'm catching cold that is going around... Today was beautiful... It was above freezing and nice... I went to the PO to mail a few packages... I headed to the oil change place with my husband's car... He was there yesterday and they forgot something... Next I headed to Walmart... I bought Cane Sugar, Salt (boy you don't buy that often!), Broccoli, Corn (my oldest is eating a vegetable again!), Applesauce, Baking Chocolate Squares so I can finally make Christmas Fudge, and an Italian wrap to snack on... Next it was to the library to toss a few DVD's in the return box... I headed home to relax and help my husband off to work... I scheduled one of my many online payments to pay off our first debt today... I can't wait till it comes out (schedule a few days ahead because of holiday)... One less person coming to us every month with their hand out! Around nap time I realized that I must have a cold so I took OTC stuff... When I woke up I felt great till it wore off... So, another dose... I usually don't take anything but I feel awful... ::sigh:: Anyone know which St. is the Patron St. of Avoiding Colds?

Another Long Day

Today was recover from surgery day... I tried to sleep in but the children had other plans... I had a ton of errands to run and then my husband had a ton to run too! We had to go out seperately while our oldest stay home and recovered from his procedure... We woke up to happy news that our Federal Tax Return had been deposited... So, we have our State Tax return, State Property Tax reimbursement, and now our Federal tax return... Now we just have to wait for the Federal Package Stimulus thing to arrive... We are doing awesome!!! Let the shopping and bill paying begin... As I mentioned I headed out first... I went to pay off our co-pay hospital/clinic bill... We are friends with the bill collecting lady so we chatted about this and that and the new blessing to arrive in a few months... Next I headed to the bank to deposit a check I had forgotten about stored my 'homesteading' drawer... I then headed across town to the DDCase Managers office to drop off an applicatons for another service that might help us resolve the issues we are having here with our oldest... I made a quick stop for milk, juice and cheese before heading home... Peanut had ST while I was gone... My husband then headed out for 3-1/2 hours to run his errands which included PO, Target, Pick up Pay Check, Deposit Pay Check, Dollar Store, etc... We took our nap while he was gone... We had a big fish and shrimp dinner for dinner... My husband talked with his dad on the phone about this that and the other and mostly what to do about the issues concerning our oldest... I thought he was talking to an attorney... I talked to my mom and gave her an update on the county meeting that happened on Monday... I went to bed early...

Surgery Day

My oldest had an Orchidopexy today... It went very well... It wasn't as undecended as they thought it might be and they had plenty of I didn't sleep well before so I was exhausted but we were up at 6, left at 6:30, stopped for breakfast for me to snack on after they take him back, saw the babies (maternity ward nursery 8! 3 boys and 5 girls), checked in at 7, did all the pre-op stuff, they took him back at 9:50, they called me in the 'family' room to report he was asleep and doing well and surgery had started, I knitted quite a bit on blessings blanket, he came out of surgery recovery and went to his room at noonish... He ate two orders of lunch (here they have a room service type thing set up) and he eats ALOT at home, he hadn't eaten since 9 ish the night before, everything was going great everyone was relaxed we could leave when we were ready, we watched Bambi DVD on the Play Station, then nurse is like lets give him some pain meds before dressing and going home... That didn't go over well... I explained that with meds it's not a problem of having him take it it's having him keep it in... We (hubby and I) aren't sure if it's related to his condition or behavioral... Well, he didn't keep it in and I'm one of those people who can't handle that sort of stuff... So, I ran from the room to inform the nurse... Luckily it was on the side of the bed away from the door... I managed to not pass out... Though for a while I thought they were going to have to pick me up off the floor... I was still sick a few hours later... That is usually my first reaction is I'm sick as well... Just something that I can't handle at all... Even TV and Movies send me running for the bathroom... It's just awful... I can't believe Hollywood thinks this is 'entertainment'! It was a hurried discharge after that... We visited the 'babies' one last time, all were gone except the one under the lights, stopped at the pharmacy before heading home... We were home just after 3... He was himself minus the just off the horse walk (bow legged)... He built train towns with his tracks/building, terrorized his siblings, watched a movie, etc... So, I think all is well... We go back 1st of March for a follow up... He was feeling well enough and destoried yet another dresser (3rd one)... I hope the county has some answers tomorrow for us... I headed to bed as soon as I could... I'm 25 weeks today...

Wednesday

I think I waited too many days... It's hard to remember what happened Wednesday... Let's see... I worked on my round robin... I'm very close to finishing... I made Easy Chicken Parmesan... I will share the recipe later... I received a call and details about what we are doing for surgery... I didn't make it to my 'mommy' group... Can't remember why now... Peanut had ST and did well... No, OT for my oldest this week because OTist is out of town... I received a letter saying I don't have gestational diabetes... Woo hoo!!! A big storm is expected to hit tomorrow... I have no clue what happened today... I made Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars... They were delicious... I tried to go to bed early because I knew I had to be up but couldn't sleep... My husband had to snow throw what snow had fallen and put out the trash for trash pick up tomorrow... I guess I will end the post and hope I didn't miss anything too important... LOL!!!

Almost Too Quiet Tuesday

Today was a pretty quiet day... Nothing much happened at all... I was very tired and didn't do as much as I had wanted today... So, I'm disappoined about that... I did quite a bit of knitting... Here is the first of many PICS of the blanket in progress for my little blessing... You can see I've started on the color change of baby yellow... Amazing how much the two colors contrast... It is nice to look at a different color... Since I don't have much write I am going to post a few recipes I've been promising to share...

So Much To Do Monday

Yesterday was busy... We ran around like crazy... We attended Mass... I ran into the library to pick up a couple videos for myself and restock the children's... We stopped at the mall and my husband picked up his contacts... We went to Lowe's to look at what fridge we could buy in stock... We also looked at Sears, and Best Buy... We went to Walmart and Target... We eventually went back to Lowes and finally bought a fridge... It had to be specially ordered... This is the one coming in less then two weeks: GE 16.6 Cu. Ft. Top Freezer Refrigerator White... Our oldest had a rough night... He busted another part of his window in his room... So, we are one thin layer away from the frigid temperatures... I made a new kind of crock pot beef roast... It was delicious... I will try to share the recipe later if I remember...We also had squash from out of the garden I had processed and froze... Today I had my delicious glucose test to test for Gestational Diabetes... I also provided my birth plan... I had planned on knitting on my blessings blanket but things just didn't work out that way... I only managed to do one row... So, I'm 9 rows away from the color change... My round robin center arrived today with my friend's first round... It is awesome!!! The photo she emailed doesn't do just to the beauty... I picked up my oldest... He had a wonderful day at school but a terrible session with the ST... He was very aggressive... I've had a busy day and I'm pretty tired... I'm going to call it a day and see you all tomorrow!!!

Super Frozen Saturday

It is insanely cold here again today... We are currently under a Blizzard Warning... It was supposed to end today at 6 but the extended it till 9 AM on Sunday... We had just a tiny bit of snow but with the high winds it creates blizzard conditions... We also have icy cold wind chills of the lovely -30s and -40s... I went out today and mailed a package at the PO... To lazy to wrap it before I left yesterday so I had to go out again today... I also stopped at the ATM for some Cash for my husband... We headed out together and stopped at the $1 store downtown that is going out of business... They are up to 35% off... We stopped at the library... Did some eBay shopping with the Cash... We then headed across town again to shop for fridges... We are having the hardest time finding a fridge for our home... We are going out again and it's going to be find something and buy it even if we have to settle on something less then what we want... I hate that! Price isn't our problem it's finding a fridge to fit in the space we have for a fridge... We also made a quick stop at Target before heading home... Tonight was snacky night... We had steak quesadillas, steak fries, onion rings, and chicken strips... I took a late nap but wake up feeling a bit sick... I hope I'm not catching something again... ::sigh:: I did only a tiny bit of knitting and no sewing... I'm still 10 rows away from switching colors...

Fish Friday

I baked another batch of fish this morning... I also mananged to stitch quite a bit on my Round Robin... I only have one side left to complete the first round... I think it looks really cool... I will share PICS of my 1st round and my friend's first round when my round is complete... Knitting is going slow... I'm not sure if I will finish all 75 rows tonight or not... I hope so... I think a new color will renew me... I went to church but they didn't have Stations... They realized that this was done last year and since we have new Priests they weren't aware so hopefully they will be able to set it up and have it next Friday... I'm going to really miss it if they don't do it this year... I've been going during Lent on every Friday since 2005... I headed over to my oldest program to talk with his teacher... I signed some forms and picked up his IEP... I then headed to the PO to mail something... Peanut had ST... She seems to be having stranger anxiety about it but settles in after the ST has been here a bit... I'm not sure why she is sooo upset... She really doesn't like it when I leave her... I didn't think this was common at 2-1/2... I thought it was more of a 18 month old thing and then they out grew out... She has been more clingy then the boys when it comes to being with someone other then mama... At least she isn't too upset when I leave her with daddy... It's more she's mad she can't go then upset because I'm leaving her with someone other then me... We are supposed to have some pretty nasty weather tonight and it is going to be frigid again with the -40 wind chills... YECK! I thought we were done with that weather... I guess not... Is it March yet?

Milestone Thursday

I am now officially 24 weeks... I've been thinking about what to strive for during this Lenten Season... One of the things I'm going to work on is only being at the computer when the schedule says it's computer time not just any time I happen to not be doing something... I waste too much time sitting here... I didn't do any sewing this morning on the Round Robin because I spent the morning removing stitches from my opps... That was harder then I thought it was going to be... Those stitches were sooo tiny!!! I finished and now I can continue on with my project... I am up to 55 of 75 rows knitted on my blessings blanket so I have been busy with that... I'm going to try and make it to 75 and start the color change tonight if I can... I stopped a friends to drop off a compact she needed... I also ran to the store for the one thing forgotten... I also made a trip to the PO to mail a package... My oldest had a landmark session today in ST... It is the best session they have had in MONTHS!!! She had a student with her today and will be with her every Thursday... So, maybe he was showing off?!? Today he broke his timeout streak... Oh well... I'm going to try something with the schedule tonight... Hopefully it works...

Ash Wednesday

Today was a pretty good day... I went with my oldest to the 8 AM Ash Wednesday service... It was not easy at all but we made it through... He has gone the whole week so far with no time outs... Woo hoo!!! Sr. gave me a book on Autism while I was there... I made it to MACH I this morning... I only made it to half but I hadn't been in almost 10 weeks so that was an accomplishment in it's self... We talked about Lectio Divina Method... We read Isaiah Chapter 58 using the method... How appropriate it was for today since that passage is about Fasting... I baked a large batch of fish for the family to eat through out the day instead of heating the oven up over and over... I also whipped up some Tuna salad for today and Friday... I took a very much needed shower this morning... So, my morning was quite packed... My husband, the little ones and I all attended the noon Ash Wednesday service at the Cathedral downtown... We saw few of our friends from FM-CHE... Peanut had ST... I dropped off something at a friends and picked up my oldest... I knitted a bit more on my blessings blanket... I'm up to 40 of 75 rows done on the first block... I have 9 blocks to make to complete the blanket... It is so beautiful... I will share a PIC after I switch from green to yellow... I did a bit of sewing on my round robin... I didn't line up some pieces right and now I have to rip it out and cut new pieces... Opps... Happens to even the professionals... I hope to make it further tomorrow since I won't have all this running around to do in the morning... The schedule was off today but we still did well...

Terrific FAT Tuesday!

I felt pretty good today... A bit tired since we fell off our schedule the later part of the day yesterday... Today things are on track and looking great... I did some wonderful things I hadn't done in a long time... I worked on my round robin... Woo hoo!!! I also knitted on my blessings blanket... It is going to be wonderful to wrap him in a blanket made by momma! I'm knitting it loosely since he is a 'summer' baby... It is baby yellow, baby green and baby blue... I'm using a rib stitch and switch/interrupted rib stitch... I'm working in baby green at the moment... Lent is just knocking on the door... I'm look forward to giving my prayer life a working over... It's not what it was or should be... I did a few errands today... I dropped off my mileage sheet for the month of January, refilled my oldest month RXs, dropped off 1st of the month paper work, paid a few bills, stopped at the PO drop box, made a quick stop at the grocery because were out of milk and a couple other things, and picked up our officially FILED taxes... Now it's just wait till we can call and hear it has been deposited in the bank...

Money, Mail, Mall, and Many More things Monday

As you know I spent a large part of last week sick... I'm finally able to function without OTC medicine and wouldn't necessarily call what I did while taking medication functioning... I felt just awful and didn't do much of anything unless I had to... Life doesn't stop for a sick mom! Hopefully that is the last of the illiness for me... To make matters worse when I was almost over my cold yesterday I was helping my husband off to Mass since he was late and feel down our front steps outside... I twisted both ankles pretty bad and scraped up my lower right leg/ankle... So, needless to say despite the fact I felt almost well enough to leave the house I didn't go any where and sat with my legs/feet up all day... I was able to get up for a bit to make my husband Super Bowl snacks I had promised... I made Hot Wings, Chili/Cheese Dip, and Chili (that I had already made from scratch and just had to thaw and heat)... I will share Hot Wing Recipe and Chili/Cheese Dip recipes later... Today we filed our taxes... So, it is a very HAPPY day in our house... Despite we made more this year we still received a LARGER refund then last year... We were very surprised and happy... We have a lot of things we need to buy new refrigerator, new clothes washer, our oldest needs a mattress/box spring set, middle son needs a mattress since he is changing locations when #4 arrives, then of course there is like for everyone all those BILLS, BILLS, BILLS, we will be paying on and paying OFF!!! That is the exciting part... We will be kissing a few bills GOOD BYE!!! That's always a good feeling... I also finally made it to the store after wanting to go and buy some things for 4-5 days... That was a good feeling to be able to go out and do something for yourself! I also made a stop at the PO to mail some packages and monthly bills... Made a quick stop at the Mall to pay on my husband's store card before heading back east to pick up my oldest... He was kind of wild in ST today... Not sure why... I did some beginning of the month paper work to keep the homestead running... Our schedule is going well... Still need to work on a few areas but I'm pleased with the results so far...

Still Sick Saturday

I'm still sick... I have the head cold and sore throat... When I think things are improving everything seems to fall apart again... Please keep me in your prayers as I fight off another illiness this winter... Is it spring yet? Good news is the -30/-40 wind chills seem to be a thing of the past... We will have normal wind chills in the -teens at the lowest... Sunday is supposed to be GORGEOUS 25! woo hoo... Hopefully on Monday when I check in I will have some GOOD NEWS... ::sigh::
